JOHN WHITING is in the News. A very nice article was written about him and his old paper collections in STYLE WEEKLY. Please read all about it.

We have a new dealer: LostNFoundAntiques run by Julia Moed of Baltimore, Md. She is displaying over 200 chocolate candy and ice cream molds circa 1900 to 1960's. Her display is in a showcase located in the area of the snackbar in the front of the mall.

Another new dealer displaying in a showcase specializes in sterling jewelry, WWII "Sweetheart Jewelry", and a variety of small collectibles.

We have a new dealer: Molly and Me run by Jo & Chris Battenfield  -  plus we have a new jewelry dealer: The Jewelry Chest run by Melissa Walsh, AND Doswell Trading Co - they sell old bottles, coins & advertising - run by Keith Parrish so Please come in and visit their booths.

Community Involvement 2010

Appraisal Fairs call upon Antique Village Dealers:

  • Antique Village dealers lent there expertise at three recent antiques and collectibles appraisal fairs.

  • On July 24th Joe Lipscombe, Fred Schneider and John Whiting evaluated a variety of items at the Mechanicsville, VA branch of the Pamunkey Regional Library. This was the 5th Annual appraisal fair sponsored by the Friends of the Mechanicsville Library.

  • On August 12th the same trio plus Sylvia Regelson journeyed to Victoria, VA for a similiar event. Librarian Kathy Watson has organized this annual appraisal fair for almost twenty years. Other appraisers from "southside" participated in the event.

  • In September, Fred Schneider contributed his knowledge of the Civil War at Petersburg's Battersea Estate during its annual appraisal and sale of antiques.

  • The the current 2010 Virginia State fair for the 10th year, Joe Lipscombe again judged antiques and vintage category State Fair memorabilia.

Some of our Dealers will be continuing their Sale Prices through then End of the Month so please drop by and explore. Also remember we have 2 Dealers with an extensive collection of Postcards who are members of the IFPD and can advise you on your own postcards or collections.

Furniture is Big and Small at The Village and our extensive variety is always changing. We have prices to suit every budget and can arrange transportation to your home if need be so please come by and have a look around.

Many of our Dealers have returned from far and wide with beautiful and varied antiques to keep our shop fully stocked with fantastic finds! Come check out the 'new stuff' to see if your special item is in our mall.

 Our Annual Event in May to celebrate The Honorable Patrick Henry's Birthday with our two day outdoor and indoor sale and exhibits.
